FlightPod TV is an online media network for pilots that provides content relevant to today’s Student, Private and Professional Pilots.

The concept began back in 2007 as an idea of Michael McCoy who’s the Executive Producer of the network and the owner of 7th Floor Productions, LLC in Reston, VA.

After countless website designs, starts and stops and interruptions by flying the line, the network went live in March of 2009 with the first video episode which was a in a news format.

Since that time the shows (both audio and video) have been “consumed” by approx. 441,000 people in 89 countries.

To date, the network features general aviation topics for a wide variety of pilots in both video and audio formats. The Airline Pilot Update, which is an audio podcast for Airline Pilots was named as “New & Notable” by Apple in the iTunes Store for Aviation Podcasts.

The Airline Pilot Update and the video episodes under the title of “FlightPod TV” have ranked in the Top 10 Best Podcasts for Aviation in iTunes, with the Airline Pilot Update reaching as high as #2.
